He vivido en Canadá - The Present Perfect

 
1) Present Perfect in Spanish (Latin American)
Past Participle : Regular Verbs

The present perfect is used to express something that started in the past but has not finished yet. It is easy to use because there is less memorization involved.

It looks very similar to the present perfect in English.
Example:
 I have lived in Canada for 10 years (and still do.).
Yo he vivido en Canadá por 10 años.

You need the conjugated helping verb he (HABER) and the past participle of the verb vivido (VIVIR). Here are the conjugation of the verb HABER:

Yo he   vivido  I have lived
has  vivido  You have lived
usted ha vivido             You (formal) have lived
él/ella ha vivido            He/She has lived

Nosotros hemos vivido             We have lived
vosotros habéis vivido              You (Spain) have lived
Ustedes han vivido                    All of you have lived
ellos/ellas han vivido                They have lived

Write the correct conjugation of HABER for the following sentences.
1. Nosotros amado a nuestros hijos.
We have loved our children.
2. Ustedes nadado en varias competiciones.
You all have swum in various competitions.
3. ¿ ellas comido tacos al pastor? ¡Son muy ricos!
Have you eaten tacos al pastor? They are very delicious.
4. ¿ ido (tú) a la playa, hoy?
Have you been to the beach today?
5. Yo te regalado una camisa.
I have given you a shirt as a gift.
6. Tu perro Choco sido una buena mascota.
Your dog Choco, has been a good pet.


2) Forming the Past Participle:

For regular verbs ending in -AR (example: Hablar, bailar, amar, nadar, encontrar)
you remove the “AR” ending and add -ado.

3) Here are some examples of past participle.

There are no stem changes!

For verbs ending in -ER or -IR, (example: Vivir, comer, beber, ser, ir, querer)
just remove the “ER” or “IR” ending and add -ido.
